The other day was #MakeATerribleComicDay2026 and I posted my “compulsory” strip on bluesky, but I neglected to post it here (cuz I'm over there most of the time these days)

A crude cartoon person sits in front of an even cruder drawing. He declares, Terrible comics are not a stepping stone on the way to great comics.

He continues, Terrible comics are an end in themselves.

Terrible comics are a way of life! he shouts, throwing up his arms holding his pencil and crumpled paper.

A small imp with devil horns and a striped shirt/dress replies, Uh, terrible comic day isn't for you, dude.

It's for real cartoonists whose “terrible” comics are better than the best you've ever done.

The person comments resentfully, Well then they failed.
