Gourmet Meatloaf
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb ground pork or veal
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup dry bread crumbs
- 2 cups tomato sauce with mushrooms
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 2 Tbs chopped green peppers
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbs dry red wine
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- ¼ cup sour cream
Method
- Combine beef, pork, ½ cup sour cream, bread crumbs, ½ cup tomato sauce, onion, green pepper, egg, wine, salt & pepper. Pack into ring mold. Bake 350° for 1 hour.
- Combine remaining 1½ cups tomato sauce, bacon and ½ cup sour cream. Heat gently and serve with meat loaf.
